My Mom Game

Prepare the game: Glue backing paper to the card sheets and cut out all the cards. You may choose to laminate them for extra durability.

For this example, we will use the Fruit Flashcards, but you may choose to practice target vocabulary with one of our many other flashcard sets.

Play the game: Have a child pick a mother card. Then, while other children close their eyes, that child will place their mother card on top of the fruit his or her mother likes. Place "No!" cards on all of the other fruit.

The rest of the children will take turns asking, "Does your mom/mother like ____?" The child will then flip over the card on top of that flashcard, and the child whose mother is being used will answer: "Yes, she does!" or, "No, she doesn't!"

You may choose to make the child who guesses right go next, or simply give them a point and continue to the next child clockwise.
